the Fanfare series

The program:

By far the least consequential series, both in the brevity and lack of seriousness in the pieces, and in the sense of having any particular program beyond being short pieces that were (mostly) just written to open up events. The first was gumdrops and kittens, which was a brief quartet written to open up the proceedings of a huge concert/party put on by NYC's amazing World/Inferno Friendship Society for their Hallowmas show in 2003. Another was written to open up the Anti-Social Music set at the annual New Music Bake Sale in 2010. The titles are gradually revealing a terrible, terrible poem.
